Both vessels of Hafrannsóknastofnun now in Alda

A demonstration of Alda was held with crew members on board Þórunn Þórðardóttir this week and the functionality of the Alda-app and system was reviewed. The crew was very interested and asked a lot of questions about the various issues related to the use and functionality of Alda. It is interesting that a new employee of Alda, Þórunn Harðardóttir, bears the same name as the ship.

Captain Guðmundur welcomed us on board and we have had excellent interactions with him during the onboarding process of Alda.

Þórunn Þórðardóttir is the newest vessel of the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute and plays an important role in research in the waters around Iceland. Now both of the institute‘s research vessels have implemented Alda as part of their journey in maritime safety, where the institute intends to be a leader and an great example.

We whole-heartedly welcome Þórunn Þórðardóttir to Alda and look forward to continued successful collaboration with the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute.
